The History of Loos & Co., Inc. Loos & Co., Inc. began operations in a two-car garage with two employees, my wife Joan and I. Little did we realize that in a relatively short period of time our 400 square feet of floor space would grow to over 300,000 square feet. And two employees would grow to over 400. There have been many American companies in our industry that have fallen by the wayside; many who had been in business years before we started, have failed. In spite of a declining industry, we have continued to grow. With the exception of only a couple of years, each succeeding year has resulted in increased sales. We have continually reinvested all of the profits we could afford. Our plant today has the finest wire drawing, annealing, stranding and cable closing equipment in the world, allowing us to produce hi-carbon steel, stainless alloy wire and cable products. Our Cable Assembly Division in Pomfret, Connecticut produces assemblies made with our cable and hardware for everything from our grandchildren's toys to sophisticated space exploration vehicles.
We've come a long way since 1964 and the future never looked better for us than it does now. |
