CABLE LAID CONSTRUCTION WIRE ROPE
A cable laid wire rope is constructed of similar diameter cables which have been closed into a finished wire rope. For example, if you used 7 cables of 1/16' 7 x 7 and closed them into a wire rope you would have a 3/16' diameter 7 x 7 x 7 containing 343   individual wires. The end product is a highly flexible, strong wire rope that can be spliced easily into slings or other assemblies. Loos & Company offers cable laid wire rope in the following diameters:
