Tom Dodds, President, Rope and Assemblies Division
Tom has been with the CWI Group for over 20 years. Starting with a Commercial background, he also has experience in senior management roles on the Operations side. Along the way, as Central Wire grew from 2 locations into the CWI Group we know today, he has been responsible for developing and managing relationships with key accounts as well as development and management of Commercial Team members, assisting in supplier relationships and working with Central Wire facilities Managers to help them better understand the financial results and performance of their operations ( including ways to improve Commercial Sales and reduce Operational Costs).
Tom is very excited and privileged to join the team of 4 companies, now known as the Rope & Assemblies Division ( Loos & Co, Strand Core, Sanlo and Loos Cableware).
Russell Cox, Controller
Russ has over 35 years in the accounting field with the last 31 at Loos & Co. Inc. As Controller, he has oversight of Cash Management, A/R, Credit & Collections, A/P, Payroll, and product costing. He has direct responsibility for corporate financial statements, consolidated corporate statements, budgets, and yearly outside audit and tax filing preparation. Current member of the benefits advisory team and the retirement advisory committee.
Russ earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Accounting from S.C.S.U. and attended graduate school at U.R.I.
Jason Kumnick, Director of Manufacturing
Jason has more than 10 years of experience in manufacturing with the majority emphasizing wire and strip production. He has a metallurgical background and has been intimately involved in processes from initial casting to final heat treatment of specialty wire, strip and rod products. He has held senior roles in research, engineering and operations. In his role as Director of Manufacturing he is responsible for ensuring that each of our manufacturing teams are effectively meeting customer expectations and business objectives.
Jason earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from Roger Williams University and attended Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute for graduate studies in Materials Science and Engineering.
Tina Fournier, Director of Sales - Contracts & Client Services
Tina has more than 20 years of experience with Loos & Co. Inc., all as a member of the Sales & Customer Service Team. Starting in a temporary position as the sales assistant, Tina has grown alongside the company for the past 2 decades and gained valuable experience managing customers from all major wire rope and cable markets. Tina has acquired a strong background in account development and contracts through her years of client management in the Aerospace industry, now using those skills to oversee all sales and service related activities.
Tina holds a Bachelor's degree in Business from Eastern Connecticut State University.
Ron Lambert, Operations Manager
Ron has worked for Loos & Co, Inc for over 20 years. During this time he has performed many roles throughout the company, including shipping, receiving, materials management, scheduling, sales, project management, lean manufacturing, maintenance, wire drawing, stranding, extruding, and cable assembly fabrication. Ron has held supervisory and managerial responsibilities in many of these areas. As the Operations Manager, Ron oversees day to day operations for all manufacturing activities, as well as planning production, receiving materials, and shipping customer orders.
Ron graduated from the American School where he majored in mechanics. Ron has also received a certificate in leadership & management from the Quinebaug Valley Community College.
Meredith Breault, Quality Manager
Meredith has 18 years of Quality Assurance and Quality Engineering experience and has been with Loos & Co., Inc for over 10 years. In her various roles in both the Quality and Engineering departments, she has worked to improve products and processes in several areas, including wire, cable assemblies, medical products and brush wire. This experience has prepared her well for her role as Quality Manager, responsible for implementation and maintenance of our Quality Management System certification to ISO 9001, AS9100D, and ISO 13485. Meredith attended the University of Connecticut and has also achieved certificates in Statistical Process Control Administration and Lean Manufacturing, and is a certified ISO 13485 Internal Auditor.
Curtis J. Schopfer, Engineering Manager
Curtis has over 30 years of engineering experience in all aspects of wire rope manufacturing, wire fabrication, end connections (assembly work), lubrication, installation, operation, forensic analysis, and process design. He has served as the Chairman of the Wire Rope Technical Board and the Aircraft Cable Control Group. Throughout his 18 years at Loos, Curt has focused on cables for critical applications such as those used in Aircraft and Aerospace, Rescue Hoist, Exercise Equipment, Theatrical, and Medical Equipment and Device applications.
Curtis received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from New Jersey Institute of Technology, Newark College of Engineering. He is also currently a member of the Wire Association International and American Society for Testing Materials.
Joseph P. Stagon, Corporate Director of Purchasing
Joe is a long time veteran of the wire industry. Over the past 35 years in the industry he has served as the Quality Manager for Whiting Screw Machine Products, the Manufacturing Manager of ball bearings with headers and wire drawing equipment for Lydall Corporation, and the Manufacturing Manager for Spirol International for their acme screw machines and star CNC equipment. As Corporate Director of Purchasing at Loos, Joe oversees day to day operations for all materials, services, and strategic resources used in our facility. This includes everything from managing raw materials, equipment acquisition, sub-components, and coordination of resource between locations.
Joe graduated from Wilcox Technical Institute with a degree in Engineering Design and Commercial/Residential Construction.
Robert Davis, Director of Corporate Marketing and Medical Sales
Robert has been with Loos & Co., Inc. for over 15 years, starting out as a sales representative and working his way up to his present role of Director of Corporate Marketing and Medical Sales. His role in the company is finding solutions for our customers. For the past several years, he has led expansion of our Medical Technologies Division through market research and business development.
Robert graduated from the University of Maryland with a degree in Marketing and received his MBA from the University of Connecticut.
