Community Outreach

Community outreach efforts help Loos and Company make a difference in our local area, and beyond. This activity includes contributing financial donations directly to organizations in need. An example of this is our activity during the COVID-19 pandemic. Throughout the course of the pandemic, Loos and Company prioritized employee health and safety while also giving back to the community during financially difficult times. We helped our Pomfret community by setting aside $50 for every COVID-19 vaccinated employee to donate to local organizations. These donations have gone to various groups such as charities, food banks, fundraisers, senior centers, and veteran-run organizations. Read some of our press releases about these activities below.

03/17/2022 Loos & Co. Donates to Wildlife Conservation
A coalition of conservation and local sporting groups is the recipient of high-quality cable and hardware donated from Pomfret’s Loos & Company.

12/20/2021 Loos & Co., Inc Donates Holiday Hams To St. Vincent De Paul Place
This week, Loos & Company delivered a truckload of hams to St. Vincent de Paul Place in Norwich, CT. Each Loos & Co. employee is gifted a holiday ham in the week leading up to Christmas. Some employees elect to donate their ham, and the surplus is brought to St. Vincent where it is shared with the community.

Loos & Co., Inc. employees gathered food donations at their local pantry this past weekend. Volunteers spent the day at Pomfret Food Community, located in the Pomfret Community Center at 207 Mashamoquet Road.

Loos & Company, Inc. is asking for local residents’ help to fill the shelves of the Pomfret Community Market in a food collection event this weekend.

10/07/2021 Loos & Co., Inc. Engineers Present at Killingly High School Career Center

Pomfret’s Loos & Company is committed to connecting with the local community through outreach activities such as community service, monetary donation, and education. To continue that effort, four engineers visited Killingly High School Career Center to conduct a presentation on employment opportunities in manufacturing.
